Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Back-End Developer to help design, build, and maintain the infrastructure powering our conversational AI platform. In this role, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team of AI experts, front-end developers, and product managers to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient back-end solutions tailored to the healthcare industry's unique needs.


Key Responsibilities:
* Architect, develop and maintain robust, scalable APIs and microservices to support conversational AI workflows.
* Optimize back-end systems for high performance, reliability, and scalability.
* Ensure secure and compliant integration with healthcare systems (e.g., EHRs, scheduling systems) while adhering to industry standards like HIPAA and FHIR.
* Collaborate with the AI team to deploy and manage NLP models in production environments.
* Lead the design and implementation of database schemas and data pipelines for structured and unstructured healthcare data.
* Build CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and ensure high availability of back-end services.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex back-end issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
* Mentor junior developers and contribute to fostering a culture of technical excellence.
* Stay ahead of industry trends, identifying and implementing emerging technologies that drive innovation.

Qualifications
Required:
* 5+ years of experience in back-end development, with a proven track record of building secure and scalable systems.
* Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, or Go.
* Expertise in RESTful API and GraphQL development.
* Deep understanding of microservices architecture and best practices.
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
* Strong database design and management skills (SQL and NoSQL) with platforms like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
* In-depth knowledge of security best practices, including encryption, authentication, and secure data handling.
* Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred:
* Experience with conversational AI or NLP technologies and deploying machine learning models.
* Familiarity with healthcare data standards and systems, such as FHIR, HL7, or EHR integrations.
* Previous experience working in the healthcare or health tech sector.
* Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed systems.
* Located in or familiar with the Latin America work environment.
